After nearly 50 years of on and off research, I’m finally putting pen to paper … well, virtually.  Welcome to my blog where I’m going to start spilling the beans, bit by bit, about our family history.

The online family tree I’ve put together via Ancestry, now contains over 3000 names, although it is still very much a work in progress.  It has many branches, not just Cockrills but also principally Hollingberys, Pursells and Wests on my father’s side and Bettses, Brunnings and Kimmises on my mother’s side, as well as all kinds of offshoots!

This blog attempts to highlight some of my research and bring to life many of our ancestors as well as create a space for other family members to share memories and information.
